The Living Altar

You’ve Been Walking In the Dark Alone Long Enough. Return to Your Light, in Sisterhood.

A 7 week ceremonial journey through the Seven Gates of Returning, where the ancient wisdom of Mary Magdalene meets your body, breath and soul.

BECOME THE LIVING ALTAR

Why This Journey? Why Now?

You’re on a spiritual path. You’ve read the books, sat in ceremony, and you’ve got all the practices and rituals down to a tee. Or maybe you’re completely new to your spiritual path, but you keep hearing about ‘the Magdalene’ and it awakens something inside you. All of this is information.

Most healing spaces ask you to understand your wounds and your spirituality with your mind. The Living Altar asks something different of you: to walk through the initiatory gates of Mary Magdalene — in your body temple, through ceremony, ritual, sacred scripture and practice — in the company of women who are doing the same sacred work beside you.

Guided by the gnostic Gospel of Mary Magdalene, one of the only early texts where a woman holds direct spiritual authority, The Living Altar maps seven distortions of consciousness that govern most of our lives: darkness, craving, ignorance, jealousy, disconnection from the body, an overactive mind and unprocessed rage. We do not work with these gates as sins, but as portals through which we can achieve ascension, the resurrection of our souls, in this very lifetime.

Over 7 weeks, you’ll walk through all seven gates through ceremony and sacred rememrance teachings.

What Shifts When You Walk This Path? (And Why You’ll Leave This Journey a Different Woman.)

FAQ’s

Hear From Women Who Have Experienced The Living Altar

  • This journey was everything my soul had been longing for. Dionisia guided each of us with extraordinary tenderness, wisdom, and authenticity, creating a sacred space where we could remember, explore, and awaken—free from dogma and rooted instead in the quiet wisdom of an open heart. The rituals were breathtaking, weaving together beauty, reverence, and profound transformation. Within the circle, I found adventure, deep sisterhood, and a truly authentic experience of the Magdalene consciousness. Every moment felt intentional, inviting us to reconnect with the sacred that already lives within us. I wholeheartedly recommend The Living Altar with Dionisia to anyone who feels called to walk a path that is both mystical and deeply grounded. It is a journey of remembrance, embodiment, and grace that will stay with you long after it has ended.

  • "Words will fall short describing how awesome this journey is. What stands out for me is: Yes, this is what Life feels like when I am simultaneously rooted & open. Sacred sisterhood is what allows both-and. The magic of sacred sisterhood was tangible all along, and particularly in our completion ceremony, where utmost beauty & power made tears of joy flow abundantly. We agreed: The Magdalene tends to come to us in moments of deepest heartbreak. Yet this is also the very moment that reveals what the soul loves best, where I go forth into my ministry. This is for the woman who is ready to say YES to integrated conscious living."

    —Katja

  • "The Living Altar provides a roadmap for navigating life’s challenges with self exploration, acceptance, and grace. Dio, with a profound understanding of the work coupled with a realization that there are many paths to the same destination, educates and holds space for transformation while encouraging self assessment and self-awareness. In this way, Dio doesn’t just support you in the moment, her work equips you for all the moments that are yet to come. She walks you through each Magdalene gate with passion, ceremony, and care, and before you realize it you have arrived – changed, enlightened, and renewed."

    —Sarah

  • "It's hard to put into words how much The Living Altar impacted me! What started as an interest in learning more about Mary Magdalene turned into something deeply personal and healing. Dio leads with such integrity and devotion that I trust her completely. She makes teachings accessible while leaving room for each person's own interpretation, which makes the experience so much richer. Her thoughtful, generous attention to detail blew me away; I have never experienced that level of care in a container like this. I can truly say this experience has changed me, and it continues to impact me and my lineage, in both directions, across generations. I cannot wait to keep learning and will take any offering she gives. She is truly one in a million."
