The Living Altar
You’ve Been Walking In the Dark Alone Long Enough. Return to Your Light, in Sisterhood.
A 7 week ceremonial journey through the Seven Gates of Returning, where the ancient wisdom of Mary Magdalene meets your body, breath and soul.
Why This Journey? Why Now?
You’re on a spiritual path. You’ve read the books, sat in ceremony, and you’ve got all the practices and rituals down to a tee. Or maybe you’re completely new to your spiritual path, but you keep hearing about ‘the Magdalene’ and it awakens something inside you. All of this is information.
Most healing spaces ask you to understand your wounds and your spirituality with your mind. The Living Altar asks something different of you: to walk through the initiatory gates of Mary Magdalene — in your body temple, through ceremony, ritual, sacred scripture and practice — in the company of women who are doing the same sacred work beside you.
Guided by the gnostic Gospel of Mary Magdalene, one of the only early texts where a woman holds direct spiritual authority, The Living Altar maps seven distortions of consciousness that govern most of our lives: darkness, craving, ignorance, jealousy, disconnection from the body, an overactive mind and unprocessed rage. We do not work with these gates as sins, but as portals through which we can achieve ascension, the resurrection of our souls, in this very lifetime.
Over 7 weeks, you’ll walk through all seven gates through ceremony and sacred rememrance teachings.
What Shifts When You Walk This Path? (And Why You’ll Leave This Journey a Different Woman.)
What To Expect Inside The Living Altar
The Living Altar is not a course, workshop or training. This is a ceremonial devotional container to be entered into with curiosity, an open mind and heart and intention. This is deeply transformational work and will leave you forever changed.
Here is precisely what walking through this threshold looks like.

Creating a container like The Living Altar is devotional work that extends far beyond what's visible on the surface. Countless hours go into holding this experience — deep spiritual attunement, detailed planning, emotional presence, and the unseen labor that makes each gathering feel safe, coherent and alive. If you feel the pull to join, I'd encourage you not to wait. There's already a lot of interest in this circle, and seats will move quickly.
I can't wait to have you with us in circle this Autumn.

This Circle Is Small On Purpose
The Living Altar is limited to only 10 women (2 spots have already been claimed and registration hasn’t even opened to the general public yet!) so that this can remain a true ceremonial container. Once those seats are filled, the doors close until the next offering, which may not come again. We begin September 20.
FAQ’s
-
No. The Living Altar is designed to serve as a foundation for seasoned and curious Magdalenas alike. You do not need to come in knowing anything, but please do come in with an open mind and open heart.
-
Yes. We designed the program with real life in mind. The in-person gatherings and online work give you enough structure to go deep without overwhelm. If you can carve out time to show up, the program will meet you wherever you are.
However, this is a commitment and we want to ensure the women who sign up will be present. If you know that you will be unable to attend more than 2 in-person sessions, please do consider joining at a future time.
-
The in-person gatherings are held locally in Boulder, Longmont and the surrounding region of Northern Colorado. Each experience is designed to be embodied and immersive. Think ceremony, shared practice and prayer, and real connection. Further details on locations, suggested dress and more will be shared each week.
-
Participation in The Living Altar asks that each woman come resourced—emotionally, mentally, and physically able to engage in an immersive, in-person container. This is intentional, depth-oriented work, and it requires a stable foundation of personal wellbeing and support.
Because part of our time together will include nature-based practices and hikes of up to 4 miles at elevation, a reasonable level of physical fitness is necessary. While these journeys are not extreme, they do ask for stamina, mobility, and the ability to move safely and comfortably in natural terrain.
This is offered with care, not exclusion. It is simply about honoring the integrity of the space, the land we will be on, and ensuring that each participant can fully and safely receive the experience.
-
That is exactly why this program exists. Many women step into The Living Altar without a sisterhood and leave with one. The circle is warm, real, and built with care.
-
Because The Living Altar is a deeply curated, small-group immersion that requires extensive preparation, holding, and behind-the-scenes devotion long before we begin, all payments are non-refundable. Each space is reserved specifically for you, and your commitment directly supports the integrity and sustainability of the entire container.
This work is carefully resourced, energetically held, and dependent on each participant’s full commitment. For that reason, I ask that you check in honestly with yourself before enrolling and ensure you are truly ready to say yes.
If you feel uncertain, I encourage you to take your time, ask questions, and only move forward when there is a clear and grounded sense of alignment.
-
Life does happen and I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise.
Because The Living Altar is a small, intentionally held group container with limited spaces and a deeply woven arc of experiences, I’m not able to offer refunds, credits, or make-up sessions for missed gatherings. Each session is part of a carefully held unfolding that the whole circle is moving through together.
If you do miss a session, you will still be held in the energy of the work and are encouraged to rejoin us at the next gathering, where you’ll be welcomed back into the field.
